4-hour workweek pdf download 2020 – Read this first.

This book has caused many controversies since it was first published in 2007. Some say its the best book ever for people wanting to escape the 9-5 work. And there are some who say something is wrong with what Timothy is advocating in this book.

“I absolutely loved this book. In fact, within 2 hours of reading it, I had completely changed the way I handle email — and I already thought I was efficient.” – iwillteachyoutoberich.com

“The real gift of The 4-Hour Workweek is that it has led hundreds of thousands (millions?) of people to reexamine what they want from life and what is possible.” – fizzle.co

“Ferriss does make a lot of bold promises, and some of the details along the way do read like the confessions of a get-rich-quick scammer.” – getrichslowly.org

“The promise of a four hour workweek magically righting all wrongs in your life, is a lie. Not only is it highly implausible, but if you ever do achieve a four hour work week, you’ll probably want to get rid of it.” – paidtoexist.com

“I have hated Tim Ferriss for a long time. I have hated him since we both had editors at Crown Publishing who sat next to each other and I heard how difficult he is.” – blog.penelopetrunk.com

4 hour workweek pdf download 2020 – My Personal Take

After reading this book, personally, I feel that it is motivating to see how someone could succeed in his life doing the things he is passionate about.

Timothy is not an ordinary person and he has the winning mindset that not many people possess. He wants to win in everything he does in life, be it business, kick-boxing or even dancing, by hook or by crook. He is committed to his success!

I do not believe Timothy worked only 4 hours a week to achieve what he has achieved today. He had put in more effort and hard work than many people would do.

Every one of us has 24hour a day and most of us already spend 7 hours or so sleeping. For the remaining hours, I believe that we still need to work hard as an individual to achieve our dreams and goals in life.

On the other hand, do you want to work 12-16 hours every day and leave behind your family, wife or children?

I think we should value quality time with our loved ones. They are the most important person around us in this lifetime.

Moreover, do you think that health is important too?

What is the point of having a lot of money but no health?

That is why I also agree with Timothy that we do not need to slog through our youth just to enjoy retirement at old age.

We have so much energy when we are younger and we should be doing what we love, sometimes layback a little to rest, exercise, spend time with our loved ones and good friends, go for a long holiday to see the world, etc.

We live life only once. Live it without regrets.

Do you agree? 🙂

    Hi Edmund,

Thanks for the information. This is one of those books that has caught my eye on numerous occasions when I have been browsing the self help section of books stores.

I’ve actually been tempted to buy it, but something stopped me. When I looked at the reviews, as you point out, it became clear that he is a very divisive character.

One reviewer even said it was fraudulent to only work 4 hours per week, but I guess it depends on the structure of your context etc.

Also – I exercise for around 4 hours per week, which I actually consider to be work. I also have to cook and clean, I also consider that to be work. I work on my website, also work. I practice guitar, also work. I then have to actually earn a living too – so I get what you mean about it being impossible to work only a 4 hour week.

I’ve decided not to buy that book having read the reviews, but maybe it will work for others. Good job with the article 🙂

Hi Paul, thanks for your comment!

I totally agree with you that everyone sees “work” differently in different context. Timothy sees the things that he loves to do not “work” and maybe the 4-hour “work” he does every week is something he dreaded.

Timothy is a marketing genius by naming his book “4 hour work week” which hits on so many people struggling with their long hours work everyday. Controversies and different viewpoints on this book also helped the book to go viral around the world. Who is the winner in the end when the book is selling in millions?

His success story is a good lesson for everyone and we can learn from many perspective. 🙂

      Wishing you the best, Paul!

    Hello Edmund.

Wouldn’t we all love a 4 hour week?

I know I would but being an online marketer that is not possible as marketers have to put in a lot of hours just to keep their head above the water. (it is a sink or swim business)

As for Tim Ferris, as you say he must have put in a lot of hours to get where he is today as well and good luck to him but I wont be buying his book.

So much to do and so little time as the saying goes and reading a book, won’t help me get it done any quicker.

Hello Robert. Thanks for your comment!

Yes, I would love a 4 hour week too. 🙂

I agree with you that as Online Marketer or Online Business owner, there are a lot of hard work and effort required. Tim Ferris suggested getting a virtual assistance by outsourcing tedious and mundane work to them. This helps freed up his time for his other parts of his life.

It is a great idea, but for new Online Entrepreneurs, with limited resources and budget. This option may be not viable for many when starting out. Most will put in a lot of hours themselves.

      Wishing you the best!

    Hello Edmund,

Thanks for sharing The 4-Hour Workweek by Tim Ferriss.

I have downloaded and will try to finish reading. I am sure the terminology that one use will change the perspective and life style. Again it is about the right believing that lead to right thinking.

It is always cool to see how others contribute their thought that will inspire millions or billions towards healthy and passionate about life.

No amount of work is wasted if one really work hard and passion about what they are doing. Not so much of how many hours of work but the key is how to balance our life style and not overwork.

    Cheers,

    Mei

    Hi, Edmund!

I downloaded the 4 hour work week pdf and I just started reading it. It is interesting as it has mentioned 4 hours a week. I myself find it in doubt since I usually work for 8 hours daily and that book seemed controversial. Nevertheless, I am will like to know more about it and I can’t wait to read it all.

    Thanks for sharing this book.

      Hi, Saif!

I am glad that you have downloaded this book and started reading it. Hope you can find one thing in this book that is so useful to you and apply it in your work or business!

      I sincerely wish you Success!

  6. stefan

Hi there. I absolutely agree! I mean, who wouldn’t like to work just 4hours a week? However, we can never forget we are in a big system designed to keep everyone who wasn’t born with the silver spoon working a lot to survive.

If it was easy to a achieve these 4/hr weeks they would soon have to change the system.

I also don’t believe the author managed this lifestyle that easy. Then, you have decided something important. How much are you willing to sacrifice of your youth in order to have more freedom in the future. Just bearing in mind that the future may never come. Plus, in a blink of an eye, the time will have passed and you didn’t enjoy even the few hours/week you had.

So, I think what you said is really important. We need to ponder everything in life and never forget what truly matters, which is health and our family.

    Great article. Thanks for that

    Stefan

Hi Stefan, you are most welcome!

When you said “the future may never come” reminds me that life is really fragile, looking at the recent events that happened around the world today.

It is indeed true that we need to treasure the time we have with our loved ones and express our love to them. I really appreciate your comment.

      Wishing you the best!

    Hey, Edmund!

I am totally with you that Timothy would not start out with just 4 hour work week to achieve what he had achieved today. He definitely has put in more hard work than anyone.

“4-hour work week” is a nice concept, thus, I believe why many curious person who desire the same “4-hour work week” would download his book.

A great article! Thanks for sharing!

    1. Edmund Post author

Hey, Diana! Thank you for your comment.

Yup, you are absolutely right! Success comes after hard work and persistence.

Timothy could have started out putting great effort in his passion, which he may not consider the effort as “work”. In his book, he also advocates outsourcing to a virtual assistance to help him in the mundane tasks so that he could have more time later on. All these depends on one’s personal choice and one’s trust for a stranger.

I personally believe that we must balance our “work” time with time spent with our loved ones. 🙂

      Wishing you the best!

    Edmund,

I have read through the 4 Hour Work Week by Tim Ferriss and although the idea of just travelling and enjoying life or only working 4 hours a week didn’t appeal to me, I have my hats off for Tim for being able to achieve it.

I learnt a couple of things about handling virtual assistants, automation and working remotely. I think your post title is quite misleading though, it sounds like you are giving the book away as a PDF.
