I really like your analogy of the rabbit hole. In the world of website marketing, there is so much “know how” that would be rather difficult to learn without a guided system of Wealthy Affiliate.
It took me several months to decide whether to take the blue pill or red pill. I had heard about WA from a few sources, but I just couldn’t commit, because I thought it would be a spam. But here I am now, officially 3 months into my website, and I’m so glad I went down that hole. It was not overnight, but it is continually blossoming into something better.

I have to admit, I was one of the lucky ones! Once I decided to quit my 9-5 job and began looking for an online business platform, I stumbled upon Wealthy Affiliate quite quickly.
Not to say I didn’t encounter some very shady businesses that came across as too good to be true. I had never done anything online except for the usual, social media, bill pay and emails to friends and family.
As a total beginner, I consider myself blessed not to get caught up in all the online scams that are out there like so many do. I have never been one to waste my money on the lottery, but I think you are correct. You are more apt to get rich by playing the lottery then you buy most online scams that promise you can make millions overnight by doing nothing.
It takes hard work, and dedication to make money no matter what avenue you take in life. Thanks for the great post and I certainly hope that those wishing to make money online with take heed to your advise.

Great post! I like how you explained the two different paths you could choose to take. One involves scams and the other is a legitimate opportunity. Scams can sound pretty enticing, but, like you said, there is no such thing as a get rich quick opportunity. You have to put time and hard work into earning money, especially online.
