Wealthy Affiliate Complaints 2024 – Seen too many good Wealthy Affiliate Reviews? Is Wealthy Affiliate scam or legit? Revealed here!

Wealthy Affiliate Complaints 2024

If you are searching for Wealthy Affiliate Complaints, I assure you that you are going to find 100’s of pages good or excellent Wealthy Affiliate Reviews!

You might be a little overwhelmed, and wondering what is this Wealthy Affiliate all about?

Why are there very little complaints or negative sides of Wealthy Affiliate?

Hi, there. Edmund here. You are at the right place.

If you have read my Wealthy Affiliate Journey, you would have known that Kyle introduced me to Wealthy Affiliate.

When Kyle offered me the Free* Starter Membership at Wealthy Affiliate, I did some research because I was skeptical at first too.

Wealthy Affiliate Complaints 2024 – My Research.

During my research, as I scanned through the reviews of the Google search results, oh boy, I was thinking,

  • “What is this Wealthy Affiliate all about?!”
  • “Why almost everyone praises it?”
  • “No complaints? Seriously?!?”
  • “Is Wealthy Affiliate another scam?”

I can’t hold back my curiosity anymore and I took a jump to create my free* account. It was in 2014.

Long story short, I became a Premium member a week after to take advantage of the first month discount and to explore it further.

I immersed myself into the training, created my first website and blended into the community.

I began to understand more and more about Wealthy Affiliate as I progressed.

In this article, I will share with you candidly what I felt about Wealthy Affiliate and I stress that these are just my personal views.

Please feel free to comment below to share your views too.

Alright? Let’s get started!

Wealthy Affiliate Complaints 2024 – So many Reviews?

Wealthy Affiliate University Complaints - Wealthy Affiliate Universitty Boot Camp

First of all, have you ever wondered why there are so many good reviews on Wealthy Affiliate?

The answer is Wealthy Affiliate Boot Camp.

The main purpose of this Boot Camp Project is to recommend visitors to join Wealthy Affiliate to benefit from the training and start their own Online Business.

In the process, members could earn affiliate commissions from Wealthy Affiliate for referring new Free* Starter members who then decide to upgrade to Premium Member.

Premium Members are able to experience the support and help from the community even after the trial period ends, plus a lot more.

If you are a Free* Starter Member, you can earn commission from referring new members who upgrade to Premium too. But the commission is half of what Premium Members would earn.

Why Boot Camp?

Many Wealthy Affiliate Members joined the Boot Camp Project because they believe that Wealthy Affiliate is a genuine place to learn, progress and earn with their Online Marketing Business.

It is a good starting point for many who cannot decide on which niche they want to go into.

Many started doing the Boot Camp after establishing their own niche website too.

Therefore, the blossom of many Wealthy Affiliate Reviews.

Wealthy Affiliate Complaints 2024 – Not all perfect.

However, not all things are perfect. This is a realistic world that each and every human/entity has its own flaws.

Hence, having experienced Wealthy Affiliate for the past few years, I am going to share my honest complaints as a Premium Member with you. However, please read with an objective mind.

Let’s take a look at my complaints. 🙂

Wealthy Affiliate Complaints 2024 – #1

Tons of Lessons maybe a little overwhelming for Novice

Wealthy Affiliate Complaint - Overwhelm

Wealthy Affiliate has tons of lesson and videos. I was slightly overwhelmed with the amount of information I need to digest and training to follow in the beginning as a Novice.

Fortunately, Kyle has created lessons in a simple to follow format and I can always go back to the previous lessons whenever I lost tracked or I wanted to recall something I have learned.

I would advise not to rush through the lessons, but take your time and have hands-on practice with the free websites provided.

This will allow you to put what you have learned in practice and get familiar with the WordPress environment.

Wealthy Affiliate Complaints 2024 – #2

Seven Days trial Live Support from the community too short for some

As a Starter Member, the ability to ask questions and get help from the community last 7 days from the day you joins. To be able to connect with the community after 7 days, you need to be a Premium Members.

Each day, I dedicated 2 hours of my time after work to learn and build my Website at Wealthy Affiliate and I find that the 7 days limit may be a little short for me initially to get familiar with its training, tools and seeking help from the community.

I would love to have more time to ask questions or seek help from the experts in the community.

To be fair to Kyle and Carson, they are willing to let new members experience the platform without charging a single cent for the first 7 days.

This is really rare in the Online World.

Wealthy Affiliate Complaint - 24/7However, I am sure that no one will stay by the computer and learn 24/7 for the first 7 days!

A suggestion would be to have a countdown timer of about 48Hrs. The timer will count down whenever they are logged into the system. In this way, new members can make full use of the 48Hrs allocated, at their convenient time.

E.g. If each new members spend 6 hours learning and practising each day, the countdown timer could last about 7 days too.

The difference of Site Comment and Site Feedback

This is a very common complaint heard within the community from time to time.

Site Comment and Site Feedback are new features of Wealthy Affiliate added recently to allow members to help one another by giving feedback to their Websites or write a comment on each other’s post.

Site Feedback – To allow members to help one another by giving feedback to their Websites Structures. Such as Themes, Navigation, User Friendliness, Fonts or even Color Scheme.

Site Comment – To allow members to write a comment on a post. The comment should be related to the content of the post. It should be interactive to the writer of the article.

Quite often, we can see members committing the mistake of giving feedback on the Website Structure while supposing to write a comment on the contents of the post.

The problem is simply “Comment” and “Feedback” could have a similar meaning. A “Comment could have Synonyms of “Judgement” or “Criticism” which could also mean “giving Feedback”.

On top of that, both “Comment” and “Feedback” comes after “Site“. As a newbie, I would definitely think that I will be giving a comment or feedback to a Website.

Kyle and Carson cannot change the “Site” as it is sort of a logo for the SiteRubix tools suite.

Wealthy Affiliate Complaints 2019 - SiteRubix

So I hope this would clarify things up and new members would not make these same mistakes again.

Wealthy Affiliate Complaints 2024 – #4

Some Members are too concern with Wealthy Affiliate Ranking System

Wealthy Affiliate has an internal Member Ranking System where each member has a rank number attached to him/her.

The rank number represents the “activeness” of each member within the Community. For example, my current rank is 684.

This rank number will go up or down depending on your activities in Wealthy Affiliate.

WA Members Ranking

  1. Helper Rank – How much you help and how timely it is within the community.
  2. Creator Rank – Do you blog, do you create discussions, do you create training?
  3. Activity Rank – How active are you within the community, do you leave comments, do you interact with new members?
  4. Overall Member Rank – Based on a combination of the above.

You are awarded the title of Ambassador if your personal ranking is below 25. (Lower Rank = Better)

I have noticed sometimes some members became too concerns with their rankings. But I just want to share that ranking at Wealthy Affiliate is just an indicator of how active you are as a member.

It is definitely good if you can be active within the community and pay-it-forward by helping others. However, it will not affect your Online Business at all even if you are not an Ambassador.

Some Countries are not able to enjoy the Free* Starter Membership.

This is not clearly mentioned at the Wealthy Affiliate Home Page.

Until when you are signing up, you’ll be informed that you are only able to sign up the Premium Membership.

This has once caused some misunderstanding with one of my readers when I just started out in 2014 as I did not place the list of countries in my disclosure page.

According to Kyle, the following countries are exempted for FREE* Starter Membership and First Month Discount Offer.

  1. Bangladesh
  2. Egypt
  3. Ghana
  4. Kenya
  5. Morocco
  6. Pakistan
  7. Tanzania
  8. Vietnam

The following countries are banned from Wealthy Affiliate Membership.

  1. Nigeria
  2. Senegal
  3. Turkey

He said that Wealthy Affiliate must block/ban the above countries to join as Free* Starter Member in order to protect it from lots of Spam and Fraud it had experienced from them.

Therefore, my friend, if you are from the countries mentioned above. I feel sorry and understand your sadness of not able to join as Free* Starter Member to enjoy the free lessons.

However, if you are really serious about building an Online Passive Income, Wealthy Affiliate is the best platform to help you achieve this.

Trust me, it is definitely well worth the premium you are paying!

Wealthy Affiliate Complaints 2024 – My personal take.

Even though I have listed several complaints, nevertheless, I totally believe that Wealthy Affiliate really could help train any Ordinary person without any Online Business Knowledge to someone who can start earning Online Passive Income.

Not all things are perfect and these complaints are just little pebbles lying on the path of your Success. Because you can just kick them away and focus on your end Goal destination.

I am a living proof. 🙂

I totally agree with your objections, all of them. especially the 7-day thing which you think should be in hours logged on. I have a toddler and it’s hard to find time to utilise all the knowledge I know is on there. What you said about the overload too, absolutely and domain name. Very true. I feel as someone new getting accustomed, it is a lot to get your head round. I do agree with the other stuff you wrote too. Everyone on there does seem helpful and it is a positive community. I think I can learn a lot from it.

    1. Edmund Post author

Thanks for your honest comment Julie. Yup, I am totally with you, I have a toddler son who constantly needs my attention too. I would only have some time myself after putting him to bed every night. This is how I get started.

Eventually, I feel that being a Premium Members is the right way to go after doing much research online comparing to other similar programs. The training, tools and community at Wealthy Affiliate University helped me a lot when I just get started. Especially, Kyle (Owner of Wealthy Affiliate University) is extremely humble and helpful.

I am really glad that you have taken action to learn Internet Marketing from Wealthy Affiliate University too.
      I sincerely wish you Success!

  2. Nesk

I have a couple complaints (or Cons):

    – the training is missing some key info (for better keyword research, SEO, content)
I spent almost a year targeting keywords that I thought had low competition.
I also spent a lot of time creating weak content – everything about my content was ugly: the headlines, the introductions, the conclusions, etc.
And the topics… I was basically writing the same stuff over and over again. The only difference was the keyword. Lol

    – hardly any training for the more experienced. For instance, list building. The Bootcamp never really talked about how to build a solid list of subscribers.

    – they frown upon link building. Not everything about backlinks is bad. Quality backlinks are strong ranking signals.

    – they don’t teach content promotion. It seems like you publish and pray for the best.

You know? I started a blog this year that doesn’t really follow WA’s Bootcamp training. I learned most of it from other blogs. And that blog gets more traffic and subscribers than the one I built with the Bootcamp training.

The only way a site following both of WA’s training platforms is if you stick to it for at least 2 years + creating lots and lots of content.

There is just too much competition in the IM niche to be not doing any advanced SEO stuff and not promoting content.

The biggest reason why I’ve stuck around with WA for over a year is because of the people/support and the SiteRubix platform. 🙂

Thanks in advance for publishing my opinion.

    1. Edmund Post author

Hi Nesk, thank you for your honest opinions.

I do agree with you that Bootcamp did not talk about building subscribers list and seems basic. But, I would also like to emphasise that both the Online Entrepreneur Certification and Bootcamp are for people who do not have any internet marketing knowledge from the very start.

Wealthy Affiliate University is an Open Education Project. Which means anyone can create training for everyone in the community. The advanced training you are looking for is available within Wealthy Affiliate! Simply enter “How to build email list” in the search bar and a few related training and blog popped up. I learned about list building from Jays’s training and webinar. There are even blogs that teach you how to write day by day emails for your email list. (I hope this is what you mean by learning from other blogs)

Similarly for better keyword research, link buildings, SEO and content promotion are all in there too. You’ll just need to search for them.

In any case, if you have something you know that is not in there, create your own training! The community would love to learn from your training and you could even earn credit dollars if they like it. Wealthy Affiliate has the pay-it-forward culture that you cannot not find elsewhere.

Precisely, the community and support are the key factors that made you stay over a year. Aren’t they? 🙂

      Sincerely wishing you the best!

Thanks Edmund, as you posted very nice reviews of wealthy affiliate!

I know this is the great website over the Internet in which every newcomer gets lots of opportunities to earn online money at home.

And I learned lots of tricks and tips of Online Marketing!

    Hi, Edmund.

This is really the first honest Wealthy Affiliate review I have seen to talk about the not so positive side of Wealthy Affiliate.

Most of the Wealthy Affiliate Reviews I have read really boast about the goods and share nothing about the bad. It is refreshing to understand what Wealthy Affiliate is about from another point of view.

I appreciate your candidness and honesty. I believe new members who join Wealthy Affiliate can appreciate it even more as they have already known that these are just pebbles along the way.

    Great article! Thanks, Edmund!

    1. Edmund Post author

      Hi, Kim.

      You are most welcome! 🙂

I believe that in all kinds of business, honesty is the most important aspect of it. I have been a Wealthy Affiliate members since 2014 and I can vouch that honesty is one of the many values that Kyle and Carson (owners of Wealthy Affiliate) avocates.

Hence, I am an avid advocator of Wealthy Affiliate and recommends Wealthy Affiliate to all new budding Online Entrepreneurs. As a result, they can avoid all the scams in the Online World and join in a program that can really help them build their first Online Business!

      Wishing you the best!

  5. Ali

    Hi, Edmund.

I just got best reviews from here! I know it is the best way to learn about Internet Marketing entrepreneurship and getting wonderful tips from the community on how to make money Online at Wealthy Affiliate.

    Thanks!

  6. Balraj Sharma

    Hi Edmund,
I am from India. I have joined Digital Altitude 3 days before. I came to know it’s too expensive program. Let me know your thoughts and also could I join WA and how will it be beneficial for me in India.

    1. Edmund Post author

      Hi, Balraj.

I did a quick check on Digital Altitude. It looks like an MLM company with high-cost Affiliate Marketing Training products and retreat programs. It may not be suitable for all. I may do a review on this company in the near future.

Let me ask you what is your motivation for joining Digital Altitude? If your motivation is to learn how to build your Online Business, WA is definitely beneficial to you, no matter where do you reside.

Unfortunately, you are not able to join as a free* starter member from India. I would highly recommend you try out the Premium Membership for 1 month. If you like what you are learning and progressing, go for the yearly plan as you could save about $200/year.

      Wishing you the best!

  7. Martin

    Hi Edmund,

I enjoyed reading your review and it was refreshing to hear some unbiased comments regarding Wealthy Affiliate (WA).

I was a member for two years and unfortunately it did not really work for me, although this is no way a criticism on WA. For me the main problem was the niche. Initially I found it very difficult to decide on a niche that I could turn into a business opportunity; however, in the training, it made it clear that you could make money of ANY niche and that what was important was to decide on one that was of interest to you.

As a result, I decided on a movie review site. I wrote numerous pages and received very positive feedback on my writing skills, layout etc. I also found my site to be ranked quite well on Google.

Despite all this, I couldn’t seem to find a way to generate income from it. After showing it to various people at WA the general consensus was that I had chosen the wrong niche which was disappointing given the amount of time and energy I had put into this.

Part of the reason for this comment is that I am actually considering joining WA again, but do not wish to fall into a similar trap. Do you have any suggestions for issues I might think about when/if deciding on a niche for the future?

    Wishing you success!

    1. Edmund Post author

      Hi, Martin.

Thank you for sharing your experience at Wealthy Affiliate with us.

Indeed, when I was new, I too had difficulties of choosing a niche. Kyle was right when he mentioned that you can make money out of any niche. However, as I gained more experience, I understand that there are more than just choosing a niche alone. There are other things to consider too.

      For example,
      1. Who are your competitors?
      2. How passionate you are with the niche such that you do not have problems writing articles of more than 500 words?
      3. How to monetize your niche? E.g Affiliate products related to your niche. Or solely by advertising revenue?

I do agree that Movie Review is a tough niche because there are strong and authoritative websites such as Rotten Tomatoes and IMDb. It may be quite difficult to drive traffic to your reviews.

Even if you have successfully driven traffic to your website, you have to consider how to monetize the traffic. By selling movie merchandises or just using Google AdSense?

These are some additional points I would consider when selecting a niche. Hope this will help you in your future endeavors at Wealthy Affiliate. 🙂

      Wishing you success too!

Hello. I joined a Wealthy Affiliate University five months ago. I notice that training they provide is very basic and out of date. For example, social media training is an absolute joke. As well, they don’t teach solid Seo methods and explain how to promote content. As well, The most important aspect of affiliate marketing is to build a list. There is a very weak training about this subject. Moreover, hosting service provided by Wealthy Affiliate is not that great, so everybody seems to move their websites to different hosting services. It is really disappointing. I recently found an excellent training which provides more value by Rob C – GHG. Much better and is $37 monthly.

    1. Edmund Post author

      Hello, Zelda.

Thank you for sharing your experience of Wealthy Affiliate with us.

As a total newbie without any technical knowledge on setting up a website and run an Online Business 2 years ago, Wealthy Affiliate’s Free* starter Online Entrepreneur Certification Course has helped me tremendously. Kyle created the lessons for people just like myself considering the facts that the intermediate and advanced lessons will confuse and discourage someone new.

When one is ready to move further, the Premium Lessons will touch on a more in-depth aspect of Internet Marketing, SEO methods and PPC campaigns. Having said that, Wealthy Affiliate also advocates content marketing and this is the best way to avoid penalization by Google’s numerous Algorithm Updates. Thus, I believed that it is an evergreen training.

Wealthy Affiliate is an Open Education Project where anyone in the community can create training for everyone. There are training created by Internet Marketing experts about Social Media marketing and Email List building. Even, how to write day by day email to be sent your list can be found in the training or blogs by members. Have you searched for them? Or even raised a question to ask the experts within the community?

There are also Webinars by Jay faithfully every week to cover different aspects of Internet Marketing. Have you attended one and asked Jay any questions?

Having been in Wealthy Affiliate for a few years, I often hear members ask about how to transfer their external domains to Wealthy Affiliate’s most reliable and secure Webhost that comes with a Suite of Tools such as SiteComment, SiteFeedback, and SiteProtect. It’s SiteSupport also provide an excellent service where tickets are answered within hours. Yes, the SiteSupport is 24/7.

So please provide evidence and statistics to back your claim that “everybody seems to move their websites to different hosting services”.

$47/mth for all-in-one Training, Community Support, Webinar, Keyword Research tools, Web Hosting and its Tool Suites, 1-1 Support from Kyle and Carson (co-owners of Wealthy Affiliate) is definitely worth the value. And if you are serious about your Online business, go for the yearly premium, you are only paying about $30/mth for all these! Were you even a premium member then?

I have never heard about GHG. I will definitely take a look at it to understand more about it. In any way, I am glad that you have found a training that suits you best and I sincerely wish you success!

  9. Christen

    Hi Edmund,

I’ve been doing a bit of research on WA recently and have found almost nothing but good reviews. This is a great sign of course, but it makes me wonder about the old saying, “If something is too good to be true, it probably is.”

I need a bit of advice if you don’t mind. But first, a small back story so you understand where I’m coming from.

In May this year I had it with my standard 9-5 job sitting in a cubicle nowhere near a window and working like a slave for mere pennies while my bosses got rich… so I bought a ticket to India and quit my job. I’m working a few part time online jobs to make ends meet as I still have to pay my mortgage back in the US while I’m away. So far I’m managing to stay afloat, but funds are tight, to say the least. So I’m not looking for a get rich quick scheme – but I AM looking for a few extra bucks so that I don’t have to worry whether or not I can afford to take out when I’m too lazy to cook.

However, seeing as though I’m in India at the moment the platform is not free. Fine – I have no problem paying $47 if I know it’s worth it. I’ve started a drop shipping business and it’s beginning to get a few sales, but I’m still not breaking even on the amount I’m spending on the platform. I know that with more work and more advertisements I’ll get there – but in the meantime, I’m watching my bank account go backwards by a few dollars each month. As with any business, it’ll take the time to get up and running.

So, if I pay the $47 per month for WA and dedicate 3-4 hours daily to the training and set up of the Affiliate Marketing Business, how quickly can I expect to recuperate the $47? As I said, I know this isn’t a get rich quick thing and that it will take time – but seeing as though I’m already losing a little on the drop shipping while that business builds I’m not in a position to be able to lose much more each month. I don’t expect mega profits at first, but I would be thrilled to break even!

    Thoughts?

    1. Edmund Post author

      Hi, Christen.

Thank you for sharing your small back story with us here. I am really glad that you already have the right mindset that Affiliate Marketing is not a get rich quick thing and you are willing to dedicate your time to set up your Affiliate Marketing Business.

First, many people have asked me the same question you asked me. As a result, I have written a post on my thoughts, “How long does it take to make money with Affiliate Marketing?“.

Second, know yourself, your passion and what kind of affiliate products can associate with your passion. And do your affiliate products have tough competitors?

Third, to run an Affiliate Marketing Business, I would think how can I create values to this group of people (niche) whom I want to help from my Online Website. I would focus on creating valuable contents for my audience so that I can have the website authority for this niche. Because website authority will result in traffic coming to your site and the potential of sales. Thus, I would rather let the profit part comes naturally after that.

Fourth, any businesses involve cost, offline or online. “Worth” depends on how big you think your Affiliate Marketing Business can be. You can read another post I have written earlier “Is Wealthy Affiliate Worth it?

Fifth, Wealthy Affiliate’s training will guide you step by step on how to build your Online Business from scratch. There are already many successful stories.

Sixth, read My Wealthy Affiliate Journey.

Finally, Wealthy Affiliate is changing its monthly premium from $47/mth to $49/mth from 13 Sep 2016. If you sign up before 13 Sep, your premium will stay grandfathered at $47/mth.

I hope these points will help you.

      Wishing you the best!

Good information. There’s actually some good info presented on the wealthy affiliate website. Also, several months ago I looked into Digital Altitude and it seemed good and the guy running it is humbled. But, behind that there are high priced items that people just aren’t buying these days. So, it makes it harder to make a commission.

Also, it should be noted to emphasize a custom video on your new websites because your ranking will be much higher than without one. [promotional link omitted]

Although I haven’t joined wealthy affiliate yet, it does look promising and a lot different than all those so called gurus trying to sell you stuff that doesn’t work. So, I will join wealthy affiliate to give it a try. Even with a small investment, you will gain a lot of knowledge.

    1. Edmund Post author

      Hi, Jacky.

Thank you for sharing your personal online marketing experience with us.

I look forward to seeing you at Wealthy Affiliate.

      Wishing you the best!

  11. Reader

Sir, I’m very interested and I have a question about the Wealthy Affiliate. Is it a legitimate site and no scam issue? Do they accept Affiliate here in the Philippines? I like to join coz I want to earn money.

    1. Edmund Post author

      Hi, Reader.

Yes, Wealthy Affiliate is a 100% legitimate site. Unfortunately, people from Phillippines cannot enjoy the free* Starter Membership due to Wealthy Affiliate’s anti-SPAM policy. However, you can be a Premium member of Wealthy Affiliate directly if you are really serious about making money Online with your website.

Again, I would like to stress that there is no Get Rich Quick method at Wealthy Affiliate, but clear step by step instruction on how to build your Online Business from scratch.

      Wishing you the best!

  12. jerry

I tried wealthy affiliate last year and I was struggling so hard to find a good niche, I did create a few websites which didn’t work so I tried the boot camp but there is so much competition there is such a little chance to make decent money doing that.

I know ur going to say look at me, I have done it and stuff but not everyone can get ranked on the first page of google with their material. So anyways I asked a question in the Q&A area. I asked what should I do. I cannot seem to find a good niche and I don’t think the boot camp is really going to work.

The reply I got was “so Mr big shot , ur one hard person to please. if u don’t like it then leave. stop complaining”.. so much for WA 24/7 support. plus I think whatever they teach there is outdated. I know ur going to delete my msg but let others also have a look at what the amazing WA community is all about.

    1. Edmund Post author

      Hi, Jerry.

Thanks for sharing your experience at Wealthy Affiliate with us and no, I am not deleting your comment. I understand how you feel and I feel sorry for your predicament at Wealthy Affiliate.

Wealthy Affiliate is an Open Education Project. People from all walks of life, cultures and backgrounds could join Wealthy Affiliate. Sometimes it is inevitable that we meet some rude and inconsiderate people. Rest assured that rude members will be kicked out of the community sooner or later. I am with Wealthy Affiliate for a few years now, most of the time I get very good answers to my questions from wise and friendly members. It is important to be humble when asking questions and likely you’ll get polite and wise responses.

As for Wealthy Affiliate Bootcamp, yup, you are spot on. “Make Money Online” niche has intense competition everywhere, not just Wealthy Affiliate Bootcamp. Try researching on Make Money Online product and you’ll know what I mean. I even wrote a long Wealthy Affiliate Bootcamp Review and provided some advises for new Wealthy Affiliate members.

Also, you must really sit down and ask yourself, what is your goals when joining Wealthy Affiliate. Do you really want to achieve them? Or were you saying its ok even if I fail? Do not let other’s words bring you down.

Wealthy Affiliate is a library that contains the wealth of knowledge that keeps up with times. Have you followed the lesson closely every single step? Have you searched for answers to your doubts or attended Jay’s webinar and asked questions? When there is a will, there is a way.

There are many success stories at Wealthy Affiliate (not just me), all who started out as a newbie just like you. Then what is the difference between you and them? It’s all about the commitment and mindset.

Finally, Internet Marketing is not a “Get Rich Quick” method to make money Online. It may not be everyone’s cup of tea, thus most importantly you must really know and understand yourself whether you really want to do this.

      Wishing you the best!

    Hello Edmund,

I have come across WA several different times, and I am probably going to try it out. I already know that the niche will be an issue for me, as I know “a little about a lot, but not a lot about a little.” But, still, I enjoy writing, and I have a WordPress blog (that I’m not terribly active on, or niche-y), and I do think this is worth checking out. Maybe officially starting something will spark a creativity or help me find a niche…and, I suppose I can learn as I go!

My actual question is this: Were it to actually take off and be successful for me, is it a huge pain to switch over to another Tax ID and keep the momentum? i.e. to start out with, I would just start as a sole proprietor; however, if it were to go somewhere, I would want to switch it to a corporation I started that is not otherwise “active” (not dormant, just not producing anything). Would I be able to switch it over to this corporation, or would I have to start all over in order to do that?

    Thank you.

      Hello, Amber.

Yup, Wealthy Affiliate definitely is a place where you can officially learn and start a website. If you ever get stuck, the whole community is here to assist you, myself included. 🙂

I am afraid that I am not very sure of the answers to your question. Perhaps you could check with your country’s business and tax law for changing the company type.

Nevertheless, I would believe your business website would still remain intact and wouldn’t be affected by changing the company type.

      Wishing you the best!

    Hey, Edmund.

I kinda agree with your objections as well, personally, I REALLY DONT FEEL kyle and Carson are really that caring about newbies like us especially in the affiliate Bootcamp. I have been posting comments on his website asking for advice and such he just straight away deleted I 95% of the time. that is really irritating to me.

Wealthy Affiliate Bootcamp has its flaws, it’s not perfect. I find it hard to survive there, why? Cuz everyone is doing the same thing, thus it is becoming very difficult to rank in a google search. it might be okay few years ago but now is too competitive.

I did consider becoming premium but after seeing how kyle just delete my message without getting back to me really ticks me off, so I might be holding off on the premium.

    1. Edmund Post author

      Hey, William.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us.

I agree with you that Wealthy Affiliate Bootcamp is quite saturated with many good reviews of Wealthy Affiliate and it may be difficult for a newbie to get ranked in Google now compared to a few years ago.

However, I disagree with you that Kyle and Carson are not really that helpful to newbies. My private messages to them always get answered. Not immediately of course and I understand they have 1000’s of private messages from members to reply every day! My replies from them usually come within 48-72 hours.

Perhaps Kyle does not wish to answer your questions by comments through his post, maybe due to the reasons that the questions are not related to his posts as this could affect his post’s ranking. Alternatively. you could try contacting him through his email found on his website.

I would highly recommend you to take advantage of the first month discount and experience the benefits of a Premium member, which includes direct PM with Kyle and Carson. Plus, all the support within the community, you’ll never feel being left alone to struggle. If you think this is still not your cup of tea, you could just terminate the premium account before the first month end.

      Wishing you the best!

So, the discounted price for yearly Premium Membership with WA is $354…? WAHOOooo!! That’s way too expensive for the pennies you will be making with WA on a yearly basis. Actually, you can just create your own blog or make Youtube videos for free, and still get paid way more money!

I find it odd that you have some people barging in to claim how great WA is when in fact, you never hear of the people who got scammed by having their credit card charged over and over and not being able to get refunds because no one is there to take your “complaint” call and since the customer willfully gave their credit card info, the CC company refuses to refund.

I don’t know how Kyle and co can sleep at night ripping off people. Your guys are soulless beings.

    1. Edmund Post author

      Hi, SomeoneGood.

Thank you for your complaints and I really feel sorry for you.

Indeed, I have never heard of people who got scammed by having their credit card charged over and over and not being able to get refunds. I do know that Wealthy Affiliate does have a no refund policy for fees paid for a month/a year of membership.

I also know that you can terminate your account with just one click of the Bright Red Button “Stop Billing and Close Account” under your Profile Setting->Membership Manager. You just have to let the membership runs out by itself after you have requested to stop billing and close your account. After which, you’ll have 30 days to transfer your websites out of Wealthy Affiliate if you have.

Kyle always replies my Private Messages. I would love to help if you know this person who had clicked and requested the “Stop Billing and Close Account” but still get charged on the credit card monthly. Let me know his/her full name and userid and I will personally PM Kyle to seek his help and advice on this. I know Kyle or Carson would love to help too, they are honest and responsible people.

Regarding the Premium Membership fee of $49/mth or $359/yr. I think it is quite worth it as you can enjoy all the training created within Wealthy Affiliate by all experts members. Members within Wealthy Affiliate are generally helpful and warm, you’ll just have to ask the questions and you’ll get answers pretty quickly. What I like here is that there are no spammers around trying to promote their own products but genuine people who are here to learn and grow together.

Moreover, you can also host up to 25 main domains and 25 subdomains within Wealthy Affiliate inclusive. On top of that, it comes with free SSL certificates, Privacy Protection, 24/7/365 Backup Protection and Spam Blocking features. Well, this is my perspective and not all people may look it at the same way as me. You can read other people’s view here.

There are also many successful members at Wealthy Affiliate earning many times more than the membership fee at Wealthy Affiliate. You can read about them here.

Hope this help and wishing you the best!

    Nice post.

Today I signed up for the free starter account, and only later learned after registration that it is not available from my country Philippines. This practice looks shady to me. I hope that they would provide an info of what countries the starter account is only available before the registration takes place. After the registration however it offers me to a premium account. I am not ready yet on premium, if there is say a 1 month money back guarantee I will probably try. I would like to delete/close my account, is there a way to do it? I have tried looking for it but could not find it.

Reading from comments, it looks like people are struggling on the choice of good niches to earn well or they may have a niche but would not sell well, but different people have different purposes, probably most people would like to earn, others would just like learn the new tech of marketing and perhaps others would just try to learn how to get started. So I believe the free starter should be available to all. But hey! I like the following.

“Turn Your Passion into a Thriving Online Business” – Wealth Affiliate

The word Thriving is a good one.

Regarding the countries that are exempted from free starter pack, can you cite of an example or examples how WAU ( Wealthy Affiliate University) experienced these Spam and Fraud.

Perhaps people from these countries who tried to register for the free starter pack can be required to verify their identities, example submit copy of passport, or professional id’s or college school certificates, or a link to developer/programmer with github account (that’s me), FB or maybe anyone recommended (have personal knowledge) by an existing premium member can avail of this free starter pack.

    Have a good day.

      Hi, Ferd.

Here are the answers to your questions.
      1. Since you did not sign up the premium account, you are not a member of Wealthy Affiliate yet.
If you do not wish to receive any mail notification from Wealthy Affiliate, just unsubscribe when you receive the first email from them.

      2. Money back guarantees sound like a viable proposal. But again, Wealthy Affiliate is not a product that you commonly find at Click Bank. Wealthy Affiliate is a knowledge provider and a service provider. You wouldn’t demand a money back guarantee before you register with your local university when you want to get a degree, wouldn’t you?
Furthermore, there is no lock-in period at Wealthy Affiliate, you can cancel the membership anytime.

      3. Wealthy Affiliate owners do not disclose the Spams and Frauds experienced by them, thus I am not able to cite examples.

      4. Personally, I believe it is easier for Wealthy Affiliate to sign up someone to premium who is genuine to learn. There will be a lot of logistics and resources needed to verify thousands of signup every single day. I guess, since the person is willing to pay the premium to try and learn, it is less likely he will do anything funny to the system.

Hope these help and thank you for sharing your experiences and suggestions with us! 🙂

      Wishing you the best!

Nice article. I was an avid fan of Wealthy Affiliate up until I learned that the FREE* account only lasts one week, and if you join the Premium version and later want to revert back to the free version, it no longer exists. Your website will be deleted and all the half-finished articles on SiteContent, saved Jaaxy keywords, etc are gone along with it. You can only get them all back when you resume your premium membership.

I was livid upon realising this, since it clearly states when you first sign up that there is a free version of Wealthy Affiliate, with limited features, as well as a Premium version. But the free version doesn’t really exist. I imagine that if you don’t take advantage of the discounted first month you simply no longer have access at the end of that week. I emailed Kyle and Carson through their support network and received a cold reply stating that premium members were not allowed to revert to the free version. Honestly, I wouldn’t be so mad if they made it clear from the start that the free account was actually only a trial, but they seem intent on tricking you instead so that when you find this out, you’ve made too much progress on your website to stop and have to keep paying in order to keep it. Were you aware of this? I’m fed up with them, going to start my website again from scratch on WordPress.

      Hi Cheyenne,

Thanks for sharing your own experience at Wealthy Affiliate with us.

I believed that you have misunderstood the FREE* account. Let me explain.
FREE* account will always be free, but you have a trial access to the premium services for 7 days Only.
After 7 days, you’ll have to upgrade to Premium if you realized that the premium services are helpful or useful to you.
Else, you can still build your website as a FREE* starter member with the limited tools on your free subdomain website.

Once you upgrade to Premium member, you are not allowed to revert to your Free* Starter Member. I believe Kyle and Carson have their reasons for doing this.
I am guessing that the administrative back end is going to be difficult to track payment by members and for their affiliate. Thus, if a member decides not to continue as a premium member, they just have to stop their account. They may return in the future to continue where they left off.

I am aware the Free* starter account has only 7 days of trial service from the start when I referred to the Membership Options Table.

I hope I have helped you understand better. Wishing you the best!

    Hi, Edmund,
I came across your block and was very much impressed by the contents posted and your enthusiasm to help others. I have involved in IM for a couple years now but never been successful. So, I consider myself still a beginner and have a lot to learn. I’m looking for a good system to be my platform on which I can build my online marketing business.

Now I’m in the process of studying Wealthy Affiliate to see if it is a suitable system for me. Following are my questions about WA. I’ll appreciate very much if you can spare your valuable time to provide me with the answers:

    1. Does WA have a professional and dedicated support team to support its members or as I read from your blog that the support is done through help from members based on member’s question/support request posted on individual blogs?
    2. If I choose WA and become a premium member, of course, I’ll sell WA’s products as a WA affiliate, but can I sell other product within the niche I selected?
    3. What is “private messaging”?
    4. How is WA’s 1-to-1 coaching implemented? As I said above if WA’s support is done through mutual help between members, how can they implement 1-to-1 coaching effectively in a professional manner?
    5. I have a couple of websites hosted by other hosting providers. They are domain only, no
website design has been done. If I join WA, can I transfer these domains to WA and do the website design in WA? Or I have to cancel them and start all over again from WA?
    6. Can member get a MENTOR for overall internet marketing business instead of limiting to selling WA products?
    7. My major concerns will be SUPPORT and RESPONSIVENESS. How do you comment on WA against these member’s requirements?

Thank you in advance for your help.

      Hi Dick Sha,

Thank you for your comment and questions. I am glad that you have come to know about Wealthy Affiliate and wanting to learn more.

Let me answer your questions as follow:

      1. WA has a dedicated support team to help members on the technical issues on their website. E.g. Website not loading or not able to log in to the WordPress. Usually, the reply from the Site Support team is very prompt.

If you need help or advice on Affiliate Marketing promptly, there is a Live Chat (accessible to Premium Member Only, Free Starter Member first 7-days only). As there are many experienced members on Live Chats, you may get the response from them immediately. Of course, remember to be polite and humble when asking questions.

Wealthy Affiliate has been around for more than 10 years, usually, the questions asked by new members are quite similar and have been answered by Kyle himself or other experienced members. These questions and answers are archived in the Q&A library, once you typed your question into the search bar, suggested answers will pop up immediately.

      2. Wealthy Affiliate’s objective is to teach people to search for niches closed to their heart. Wealthy Affiliate Bootcamp is optional. I would advise all newbies to start with their own niche first. WA Bootcamp has become extremely competitive over the years as more and more members take it up. You can find tons of Wealthy Affiliate Reviews Online, you may take many months before you see the first sign up.

      3. Private Messaging is like email. It is internal within Wealthy Affiliate. You can private message any members including the owners Kyle or Carson. Of course, you must be a premium member to be able to do that.

      4. 1-1 coaching at WA is done through Private Messaging your mentor. When I was just starting out, I PM Kyles many time for advice. With that said, you must take into consideration that your mentor may not always reply to your questions immediately. Reasons are time-zone difference and/or hundreds of messages to reply in a day.

      5. Yes, you can transfer your domain to Wealthy Affiliate. There is a simple step by step instructions to follow at Wealthy Affiliate.

      6. There are thousands of active members at Wealthy Affiliate, all in different kind of niches. You can definitely find your advice here. Remember, promoting WA is only an option.

      7. Mentioned earlier, you have to consider the time zone and the availability of the person when you PM them. Live Chat and Site Support will be prompt and responsive.

Hope I have helped you with my answers. You can always PM me at Wealthy Affiliate after you join WA too. 🙂

      Wishing you the best!

    Hi Edmund,
I submit a comment about WA this morning. I’m not sure if it has been successfully posted by this blog. This to test to see if my MSG is delivered.

      Hi Dick Sha,

Just to let you know I have received your questions and I am in the process of replying to them. Once I am done, I will update here again. 🙂

Update: Please read the answers above.

    Hi Edmund
Nice review you’ve given. I was a WA member and have been thinking of rejoining but what puts me off is this. Often when I look for a review for some program or other so many times it happens that the reviewer is a WA member. He/she reviews the program always ending by saying “this program is quite good but take a look at WA instead”. I ask myself if WA is so good why don’t these folk get on with learning all the stuff, building their websites etc instead of promoting WA to earn referral commissions?
    Richard Adams

    1. Edmund Post author

      Hi, Richard.

Thank you for sharing your experience with us.

Yes, I agree with you. This is precisely what was taught at the Wealthy Affiliate Bootcamp.

Wealthy Affiliate members who take up Bootcamp will be taught to write reviews of other make money online programs and then subtly compare them with Wealthy Affiliate as an alternative. Or even rated some programs as a scam if they are really out to con peoples hard earn cash.

Kyle showed his own review website as a reference and teaching material, thus many members who followed the WA Bootcamp will follow his “theme” too. In fact, as Wealthy Affiliate members grown over the years, such review websites are blooming and become very competitive for members to promote Wealthy Affiliate.

Having said that, there are thousands of members who are building their own websites instead of promoting WA to earn referral commissions. WA Bootcamp is optional and Kyle mentioned that to members upfront. Wealthy Affiliate wants its members to search for niche close to their heart. It is because, with passion in your niche, you are likely to create articles easily as words flow through your mind freely.

Create a website with passionate contents, providing values to your readers, the affiliate income will follow when your readership grows. (Value Creation -> Profit) It is just a matter of time if you really put in the hard work and persevere.

Hope I have clear your doubts, Richard. Do not let what others are doing affect you, most importantly you know what are your goals.

      Wishing you the best!
