Overview: Toluna is a Survey company part of Toluna Group Ltd. It pays out points to Toluna members who answers qualified surveys.

Points could be exchanged for gift cards, cash or participate in draw events. Poor Points conversion rate ( 3000 points to $1. Min 60,000 points to cash out).

Members can create a poll, thumb it or battle to get a quick opinion from other Toluna members.

Toluna Review 2017 – How to join?

Joining Toluna is very simple and free. You can create an account by filling the details on the home page or sign up with your Facebook account.

Personally, I would recommend you do not link up your Facebook account to avoid spam messages sent to your friends on Facebook.

Remember to uncheck the “I agree to receive invitations to surveys by SMS” if you do not want to. Some Telcos may charge you on SMSes.

Once you have created an account, you’ll be asked to fill in your profile survey.

And when your profile survey is completed, your account will be credited with 500 points.

The purpose of the profile is to act as the first filter to match surveys with Toluna’s client’s requirements.

Toluna Review 2017 – What can you do there?

Let’s take a look at the activities you can do at Toluna.

There are 3 activities as follow

#1 Taking Survey

Surveys at Toluna are created by Toluna’s partners who are mostly research companies. Each survey will take you about 15 to 20 minutes to complete and points are awarded according to the duration of the surveys.

Do note that each survey will start with a few questions that will make sure you are part of the targeted demographic group needed for the study. Remember to fill in your profile surveys on Toluna and you may have a greater chance of being selected for specific surveys.

#2 Create Polls, Thumb it or Battle

These are free features that I quite like in Toluna.

You could create a Poll to ask a question with multiple pre-formed answers. You can choose to allow the members who are answering your poll to make one or several selections. Statistics and Infographics will update in real time. This is a great way to get quick answers to your pressing questions.

Thumb it allows you to create a subject and allows members to thumb up or down against it.

And Battle allows you to compare 2 different things and let the community make their choice.

You could even place the result Statistic and Infographics on your own blog/website.

#3 Topic

If you want to start a discussion within the community, you can create a topic to start an open-ended forum with other members. Just ask anything and everything, and wait for the community’s responses to come pouring in. Simple as that!

The main activity that you can make money at Toluna is taking surveys.

Each survey takes about 15-20 minutes and may let you earn up to 2500 points each.

You’ll need at least 60,000 points to cash out $20 to your Paypal account or exchange them for gift cards.

Take note that these points will expire if you do not use them.

There are many Online frauds and some people just want to mess with the systems.

Inevitably, Toluna has strict rules to protect itself and its honest members.

You have to take note of the Terms and Conditions carefully to prevent getting yourself banned, even if it is not your intention of some actions.

Here are some excerpts from Member Code of Conduct.

• Do not take any Survey other than in good faith, such as providing false answers or speeding through a survey or answering each question the same way. Toluna reserves the right to withhold awarding Points to you if, in Toluna’s reasonable view, your Survey responses are untruthful or not well considered.
• Do not attempt to circumvent the Points system Toluna, including by requesting rankings from other members or posting content which does not respond to or pose any question in order to garner points.

Toluna Review 2017 – My Personal Take

Taking surveys are easy jobs that do not require professional skills.

You should not expect to earn a lot just by doing these because some surveys take 20mins to fill in but pay cents!

Moreover, you have to ask yourself whether what is the effort/reward ratio that you are willing to invest in.

You may require to signing up with many survey companies to have a higher chance of qualifying more surveys. You may need some strategies.

Personally, I do not really like the fact that the rewards are so little compared to my effort and time invested filling up the surveys.

I rated Toluna 2.0 stars because it is a legitimate Survey Company that payouts on its terms.

It also has some fun features that allow you to make your own polls within the community.

However, Toluna’s paid out effort/reward ratio is quite low compared to other survey companies.

Personally, to achieve a Passive Online Income, I started an Affiliate Marketing Business.
