Opinion Outpost Review

Website: OpinionOutpost.com

Product: Survey Site

Price: Free

Owner: Survey Sampling International, LLC

Suitable for: Anyone like taking paid surveys to earn some cash.

Overview: Opinion Outpost is a survey site owned by Survey Sampling International, LLC. However, when I tried to register from Singapore, it directed me to its affiliate local site, Opinion World Singapore, instead.

I have trouble registering with Opinion World Singapore and their support did not respond to my help request. I guess I am giving up on it for now.

Opinion Outpost Review – What is Opinion Outpost all about?

Let’s take a look at this short clip.

Opinion Outpost’s Story

The following is the excerpt from Opinion Outpost’s home page.

“A successful company’s most important consultant is you, the consumer! Companies rely on your feedback to produce new and improved products and services.

Opinion Outpost bridges the gap between your opinions and the companies who need them. You can earn cash and rewards for the time you spend taking online surveys with points you can redeem for cash or gift vouchers to popular brands. Not only is it easy to sign up, but it’s also free.

By being a member of Opinion Outpost, you may find yourself taking paid online surveys about electronics, medicine, politics, sports, advertisements, appliances, or even what you ate for breakfast. Companies value your opinions, and will reward you for sharing them. What’s better than taking surveys for money in your spare time?

The more surveys you take, the more opportunities you’ll have to collect points and redeem them for cash and other great rewards.” – Opinion Outpost

Opinion Outpost Review – Re-direction depends on your country of resident.

After I choose the country as Singapore and clicking [NEXT], I was re-directed to Opinion World Singapore site to continue with my registration.

Note that if you are residing in the US or other countries, you may see a different registration screen.

After I enter my details, I clicked [Next].

Then, I have to fill in my city/town.

I filled both fields as Singapore as Singapore is a small city. Then, I click [Next]

Opinion Outpost Review – Wrong Format!

To my surprise, there was an error message.

opinion outpost - what format

I was totally confused, what do they mean by “Your answer does not match the required format.“?

I tried entering my postal code and short abbreviations.

All did not work.

I was screaming in my head, “Then tell me which format you want!!” There was no help message or anything telling me what format to fill in instead.

I gave up and email the support for help.

Opinion Outpost Review – Strange things happened.

Even though I did not activate my account successfully, I was invited to fill in my first survey by an email sent to me.

opinion outpost review - first survey

I could not even log into my account yet, what is the point of me filling up a survey I thought. 🙂

I did not bother to fill in the survey and decide to wait for support to respond to my email.

So far and so long after, no respond from them yet.

*Will update in the future if ever they responded.

Opinion Outpost Review – What others are saying?

While waiting for my help from Opinion World Singapore’s Support, I researched about Opinion Outpost and found most are favourable reviews.

Most of the reviews are from the US based and I believe they do not face the problem I had earlier.

You can see real-life reviews of other Opinion Outpost users at GetPaidSurvey.com.

Here are some excerpts,

“Been doing this for 8 months. You just gotta know how to answer the pre-questions. And sometimes there are 2 sets of them instead of one, so be careful. IT is true that you may not be qualified for them and that’s normal. The surveys have nothing to do with Opinionoutpost since the site only hosts them. I’ve made over $500 in just under 5 months. But once you hit that, you cannot redeem more points until you send in a w-2 form” – Danny  – 4 Star

“In the beginning, it was ok, and I cashed out twice. Then the surveys were just come-ons. Forty points became FIVE, time after time — that is, when I didn’t screen out after 20 wasted minutes. One of the worst, and I suspect sometimes reviews are good because OO leads you on at the beginning, then you’re taken for granted. Not worth a month of good time that leads you to spend more time finding it has left you in the dust.” – pattapatta – 1 Stars

Opinion Outpost Review – Pre-screening.

From the reviews, I also realised that Opinion Outpost will require you to answer questions before you are qualified to take the surveys.

You don’t get paid for answering pre-screening questions!

Some would say that this is a waste of their time when they get screened out after answering pre-screen questions for 10 mins or more.

Nevertheless, there are some other Survey companies who do not require users to answer pre-screening questions and I prefer to fill in their surveys.

  2. PaidViewPoint

Opinion Outpost Review – My Personal Take

Taking surveys are easy jobs that do not require professional skills. You should not expect to earn a lot just by filling up surveys.

Moreover, you have to ask yourself whether what is the effort/reward ratio that you are willing to invest in.

To earn a decent income filling surveys, you may require to signing up with many survey companies to have a higher chance of qualifying more surveys. Some strategies may be needed.

Although I did not fill in the invitation survey from Opinion World Singapore due to some issue, personally, I do not really like the pre-screening questions mentioned by other members who joined Opinion Outpost based in the US.

I would prefer survey companies that do not need to fill in pre-screening questions as mentioned earlier.

You can give Opinion Outposttest run here if you are residing in the US.

On the other hand, to achieve my goal of earning a Passive Income Online, I am all out for an alternative.

Opinion Outpost Review – Online Passive Income

I started my Affiliate Marketing business in 2014 and never looked back since.

Wealthy Affiliate is where I learned how to build a Successful Online Affiliate Marketing Business right from the fundamentals.

Opinion Outpost Review - Wealthy Affiliate University

The best thing about Wealthy Affiliate is that I could start learning how to build my Online Business Passive Income with ZERO prior knowledge on Affiliate Marketing.

Not only that it comes with complete tools and Website building and hosting suite, Wealthy Affiliate comes with live support and help from the owners and the community.

It’s also an all-in-one platform with a fixed monthly fee, and you do not have to worry about other operation costs.

You can even test-drive it first with FREE* Starter Membership in the next few minutes!

I have written a comprehensive Wealthy Affiliate Review and perhaps you can find out more from there.

Opinion Outpost Review – Final Verdict

Opinion Outpost
Owners:
Overall Rating:

I rated Opinion Outpost 3.0 stars because it is a legitimate Survey Company that payouts to its members.

However, for people residing outside of US, you many be re-directed to Opinion Outpost’s affiliated local survey company. In my case, Opinion World Singapore.

And Opinion World Singapore‘s account activation process has problems and their support is poor.

Filling of surveys will not let you earn a passive income because the reward vs effort ratio is usually very minute.

Personally, to achieve a Passive Online Income, I started an Affiliate Marketing Business.

Wishing you the best!

Hi, Edmund! Great review! I’m also interested in joining online surveys and currently looking for the legit ones. I find your website very helpful to my questions, but I’m actually looking for a review about a site called iglobalsurveys-dot-com.

Have you heard about this? Is this legit? I want to have an idea of this site before I join and I’m hoping you can give some info about this.

    Thanks!

I have not heard about the survey site that you mentioned and I am sorry I could not give you a definite answer now. I will definitely do a research and write a review on it in the near future.

      Wishing you the best!

    Hi, Edmund.

I was wondering why I was re-directed to Opinion World when I tried to register to Opinion Outpost.
Thanks for your review and I understand now.

      Hi, Kim.

      You are most welcome.

By the way, I have not received any mail from the support ever since I told them about my registration issue. Their support is questionable in my opinion.
